Storytelling is all I've ever known. At age 4, before I learned to read, I'd make up my own version of Jeff Brumbeau's The Quiltmaker's Gift each time I'd flip through its pages.
I'm a staff writer for Wondermind, co-founded by Selena Gomez, Mandy Teefey, and Daniella Pierson. I, along with a team of amazing editors, focus on all things mental health for the brand's first editorial offering: the Wondermind newsletter. Here's a featured Q&A with psychologist Jenny Wang I did, and here you can read an interview with Ozark's Jessica Frances Dukes.
I was an assistant fitness editor at POPSUGAR for over three years where I delved into the world of squats, healthy eating, superstar athletes, and mental health. I reviewed the latest technology in home workouts, reported on inspiring influencers in health and wellness, and got personal about growing up as a gymnast. I worked on some really impactful features and interviewed big names. Ex. Vanessa Hudgens walked me through intermittent fasting, and Amy Schumer discussed (yes!) vaginas — because we don't talk about them enough.
Before POPSUGAR, I was a digital writer for Metro US, covering basically...everything. And I formerly held two positions at Hearst Magazines: first as an editorial intern at WomansDay.com and CountryLiving.com, then as an editorial fellow for GoodHousekeeping.com and HouseBeautiful.com.
I graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. in writing (concentration: feature writing) and a minor in communication, management, and design. It's a mouthful, I know. I have a keen eye for detail, am a huge fan of the Oxford comma, and have a talent for crafting pop-off-the-page stories.
On this website, you'll find a compilation of my published work ranging from articles to creative writing. View some more of my clips below or select the "featured work" tab above for a full list of bylines!
